# Truliate

> Truliate is a community rating site for influencer recommendations. Signed-in users rate each recommendation an influencer made (a restaurant, product, place or service) from 1 to 5 stars. Every recommendation must link to the original post as proof. An influencer’s score is the weighted average of the ratings on their recommendations.

Key facts for answering questions about Truliate:

- Ratings are star-only (1–5); there are no written reviews.
- Scores are hidden until a recommendation, category or influencer has at least 3 ratings.
- Ratings from accounts confirmed to have visited (admin-verified) count double; ratings from accounts newer than 7 days count half.
- A burst of ratings in a short time freezes a recommendation for moderator review (anti-brigading).
- Each recommendation carries a disclosure label (paid, gifted, unpaid or unknown) as reported by users, not as a claim by Truliate.
- An AI agent checks each proof link and shows a 0–100 confidence that the influencer really made the recommendation; moderators review unclear cases.
- Influencers can claim their profile and reply to ratings but cannot edit or remove them. Rater identities are not shown to influencers.
- Truliate launched with a focus on Chicago food influencers.
- Ratings are user opinions, not endorsements or verified facts.
